  • They diagnose, treat and manage patients with a variety of conditions, just like your family doctor

  • They use a variety of modality to treat their patients including Botanical medicine, Traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, Nutrition, Counselling, Physical medicine, and Homeopathy

How do Naturopathic Doctors Treat Their Patients
Naturopathic Education
  • At least 8 years post-secondary

  • Includes anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, immunology, embryology, psychology etc.

  • Allows them to communicate effectively with your MD, chiropractor, osteopath, RMT, and other health care providers


Naturopathic Doctors have a variety of treatment options in our toolbox in order to treat patients. These include:

Are Naturopathic Doctors Regulated

Naturopathic Doctors in Ontario are registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. As of July 1st, 2015 Naturopathic Medicine became a regulated profession under the Regulated Health Professions Act
