Herb of the Week - Rhodiola rosea!

This week's herb is an amazing adaptogen! I use Rhodiola almost daily in my practice. Why I haven't featured it before - who knows! 

 

This herb helps your body modulate catecholamines (epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine), serotonin, and acetylcholine. These are a lot of big words that make this  herb great at helping to relieve stress, adrenal fatigue, hypothyroidism, fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety..... I could go on all day! 

 

Like any medication there can be side effects when taking herbal medications. Some individuals can experience some insomnia if taking rhodiola in the evening.
